To
answer the question, “How
would being selected for
DreamMakeover Tri-Cities
transform my life”? … I have
to take you back in time, to
show you where I’ve been, who
I am and what led me to fill out
the application to this
question.
Almost
four years ago my husband was
seriously injured at work
eventually resulting in the loss
of one of his legs. During this
very difficult and trying time,
my husband needed me to be very
strong and in control, to be his
strength and comforter, to be
compassionate and at times firm.
I gave and gave. He needed me to
take care of him,
unconditionally. This was one of
the most difficult experiences
in our lives. Through the grace
of God we survived and are now
beginning to live again.
I’ve
lost 50 pounds, eat a
well-balanced diet and started
an exercise program. I feel
great! I will never be fat
again! I needed to do something
for me, not for my husband, not
for my kids. I needed to do this
for me. I want to lost the rest
of this weight, tone-up and gain
muscle. I want to look great!
So
back to the question: “How
would being selected for
DreamMakeover Tri-Cities
transform my life?” I am a
strong, dedicated sincere and
caring person with a warm heart.
I’m not pretty, only plain. I
would like the outside of me to
match with what’s on the
inside. I don’t believe I’m
more deserving than anyone else,
but I do believe the
transformation would be for me,
to feel complete, to be
satisfied, to be pretty, to like
what’s on the outside to match
with what’s on the inside.
Then:
What I would call “The
Bonus”, the once-in-a-lifetime
opportunity that may become
available to me because of this
transformation and the changes
that will take place in my life
for the better.
The
doors that will be open for me
to walk through, the unknown, is
what I’m looking forward to,
and where the changes will lead
me. I hope that somewhere,
somehow I will be able to
encourage and help someone else
along the path.
These
last 3 ½ years have been like
traveling through a dark tunnel.
Now I’m beginning to see the
light at the end. DreamMakeover
can take me completely through
this tunnel into the light and
into a better tomorrow.
