 Lisa’s Collection is a wonderful ladies’ boutique located in downtown Kennewick that has been open since June 1st, 2004, although it seems like it’s been in existence much longer. Shirley Edwards, Lisa Edwards’ mother-in-law, originally owned the shop as The Collection. It was a fixture in Kennewick for over 30 years, building a large following. When Shirley retired, Lisa Edwards and Debbie Harpe purchased the store and opened Lisa’s Collection, bringing the devoted clientele with them. During their first year in operation, they have built on the original concept and made it their own.
When you come into the shop, you sense the friendly atmosphere enveloping you and are drawn to the interesting displays of clothing and other items. What you feel most is the care and love the owners lavish on their customers. Lisa Edwards worked at her mother-in-law’s store for almost 8 years prior to opening Lisa’s Collection with her good friend Debbie Harpe. Lisa indicates she’s always served as a personal shopper so it’s become intuition. She describes her service as one of getting to know each individual and what they like then helping them find things that they feel most comfortable wearing. “When you feel comfortable wearing something, you are more than just pretty -- you are truly beautiful,” Lisa commented recently to a customer. And the customers agree with her.
Lisa and Debbie are very excited about being involved with the DreamMakeover Tri-Cities program. They will be educated all three women on how to choose colors and styles of clothing, shoes and accessories that fit their individual personalities. You will get to see their efforts pay off at the Gala Reveal on April 22 as they present Joni, Melinda and Laurie in stunning gowns for their first public appearance.
Because Lisa’s Collection carries new and gently used finer quality clothing on consignment, the prices are affordable to everyone who walks through the door. The clientele increases each day but it’s never so crowded the owners cannot find time to talk with everyone and provide personal attention.
