Sanctuary… restoration and much needed relaxation.
The Dreammakeover participants are experiencing the opportunity for high touch healing in conjunction with Aveda’s highest technology at Z Place Salon & Spa. A “sensory journey” begins each facial and bodywork treatment in which you discover the plant-derived aromas that personalize your spa experience, appeal to your senses and need for balance.
Aveda treatment products, enriched with vitamins, fruit acids and enzymes, integrate the latest in skin science with sophisticated plant technology. Our team, trained in body work systems and plant aromaology, offer treatments designed to soothe the strain and stress of everyday life. We believe that true beauty can be achieved from the wellness and balance that is nurtured from the inside out.
We have begun consultations and preparations for each participant’s new look with hair color, hair design and make-up. It is our mission to create a learning experience of beauty, wellness, and environmental consciousness for our each of our guests when they visit our salon and spa. Each participant is being prescribed hair and body care products from Aveda which is the leader in the industry for producing plant and flower based products with the highest technology that are environmentally friendly. Aveda not only constantly strives to reach a higher standard not only in the world of beauty but in helping indigenous cultures are around the world.
Joni and Melinda have both received a Purescriptions Conditioning Treatment and Scalp Massage to prepare their hair to receive a customized hair color with Aveda Color. This color is 97% naturally derived develops inside the cortical fiber to lock in color, for long-lasting results. This color has a damage-free, protective formula with sunflower, castor and jojoba oils for incredible shine. Shown to actually strengthen hair, soy protein buffers damage during processing. The Pure-Fume aroma offers a more positive experience and environment to nurture the beauty from within during the process.
Melinda has experienced a Hydrotherm™ treatment from Jennifer who is also a licensed esthetician on our team. The Hydrotherm™ is a massage tool that utilizes two units that are filled with warm water. Guests lie face up on this system and receive a full body massage in this position. This unique massage system is an Aveda exclusive in the Untied States. This system provides a warm, relaxed environment, no uncomfortable face cradles, no congestion, and no turning over. For our participants this is an excellent choice of treatments if they have experienced dental or facial work of any kind they do not need lie face down during the treatment and there are no pressure points as they lay on the table as they are floating on a warm cushion of water.
Yes, Z Place is definitely the most enjoyable stop on the appointments schedules for our DreamMakeover participants! Health and wellness is not “pampering” as has been the thought pattern of old, but a much needed and beneficial lifestyle to create beauty and wellness in our lives.
The “Finishing Touch” … We have just received the new Petal Essence™ eye and cheek color. Jasmine petals hand-picked on an organic farm in Cairo, along with leaves of geranium, create the petal-soft, aromatic flower waxes that infuse our floral formulas, --enticing, and getting to the very heart of nature. A palette of silky smooth blues, greens and corals flourishes with the new life. Oil of orchid helps smooth and moisturize. Keeping beauty in balance—every face, a flower!
The fun part for the participants… they want and desire the other parts of the DreamMakeover, but this is the part is the icing on the cake, the finishing touch, the part that they really enjoy! That is what we enjoy doing as a salon and spa, make people feel special give them a little more every time they come in than they are expecting to receive when they are there. It’s definitely more that just a haircut, or more than just a pedicure, more than just having a massage done that day; it is a total lifestyle change that we like to initiate from the salon and spa.
The participants have previously put other people first in their lives as most of our guests, when they come into our salon and spa it’s an opportunity for them to have that nurturing for them to prepare themselves to have confidence to go out and face whatever it is that they need to face. We are really looking forward to finishing that touch and letting the community know that we like to provide DreamMakeovers for everyone everyday!
