Dr. Taylor is a comprehensive ophthalmologist and has done more than 10,000 surgeries to include Cataracts, Glaucoma, and Corneal Transplants. He has been doing refractive surgery since 1980. He began doing the Lasik procedure in 1998 and has since done more than 1000 procedures.
As a result of being selected for DreamMakeover Tri-Cities, an evaluation of Joni took place and Dr. Taylor confirmed that she was a safe and viable candidate for Lasik Surgery. A short time later Joni returned to TriCities Lasik for her Lasik procedure. Pre- and post-operative instructions were explained to Joni and she was prepped for her life changing Lasik surgery.
Joni was taken to the comfortable laser surgery suite where the surgical nurse, the engineer and Dr. Taylor all spent time verbally preparing Joni for the procedure including sharing what it would sound like, the sensations and what she would experience as a patient. She was given our stuffed Lasik kitty to hold as the procedure began.
The Visex Star 4 Laser was programmed and Joni was positioned. Dr. Taylor was then ready for to begin. The procedure went extremely well and Joni was very happy to share the results of this wonderful opportunity with her family, who were waiting for her when the process was complete.
